Funding program


The nephrology consortium will offer a financial support of 15,000$ for MD and PhD researchers who have applied for an operating grant in the fall of 2013 or winter 2014, but failed to secure funding. The prerequisite for admissibility are the following:

  • To be a member of the nephrology consortium
  • To have or be eligible for a scholarship from the FRSQ (junior 1, junior 2 or senior)
  • To have applied for an operating grant in the fall 2013 or winter 2014 competitions to a Canadian funding agency with peer review
  • To have obtained a minimal score of 3.5 (the average of scores will be used)
  • To have no other operating grant awarded in the fall 2013 or winter 2014 competitions (scholarships are allowed)

Up to 3 bridge grants will be offered each year. If more than 3 researchers fulfill these criteria, the applications with the best scores will be awarded. This funding cannot be awarded 2 years consecutively.
