Fellowship program


Description :

The University of Montreal Nephrology Research Consortium is launching a new training program in research targeting renal disease. This fellowship is intended for nephrologists with a keen interest in translational research or clinical epidemiology. Areas of specific focus will include one or more of the following:

  1. Transplantation and immunology
  2. Pharmacology, physiology, and signaling
  3. Metabolic and vascular complications associated with kidney disease.

This fellowship will train individuals in research. Clinical rotations will be offered when relevant to the overall training. The duration of the fellowship for an individual will be one (1) year with possibility of extending to two (2) years. Hence, in the next four (4) years, we intend to train 2 to 4 individuals in this program.

Applications:

  • Applicants must have completed clinical training in Nephrology.
  • Applicants must be fluent in French and/or English.
  • Candidates from countries other than Canada are welcome.
  • Applicants who wish to complete clinical rotations must be eligible for an educational license from the Collège des médecins du Québec.
  • The starting date is flexible.
  • The duration of the fellowship is one year with possibility of extending to 2 years. Salary will be $ 50,000 CAN per annum plus benefits.
